SHORT BIOGRAPHY:
Stefano Elio Lenzi was born in Milan, Italy in 1989. He received the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering (Electronic Technologies) in 2015 from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, with the thesis “Method development and validation for front crawl swim technique evaluation”. As the thesis’ title suggests, his work was focused on the design of an IMU based electronic wearable system and on the implementation of an algorithm for the extraction of useful data for swim technique evaluation of athletes.
He is currently a Ph.D. Student in Technology for Health with the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Brescia, Brescia, Italy. His Ph.D. research project is focused on the detection of an optimal biomechanical model in order to investigate and quantify the impact on the musculoskeletal system of ergonomic risk factors in large scale retail distribution using wearable technology.
