SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

Mauro Serpelloni was born in Brescia, Italy. He received his M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Management Engineering and the Ph.D. in Electronic Instrumentation from the University of Brescia in 2003 and 2006, respectively.

From 2006 to 2010, he was Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Information Engineering, University of Brescia. From 2010 to 2017, he was Assistant Professor of electrical and electronic measurements with the Department of Information Engineering, University of Brescia. Since 2017, he is Associate Professor with the same department. He teaches also in courses about sensors, electronic instrumentation, sensors for biosignals and mechatronics.

He has worked on several projects related to the design, modeling and fabrication of measurement systems for industrial applications.

His research interests include electronic instrumentation, sensors, contactless transmissions between sensors and electronics and signal processing for microelectromechanical systems.

Recently, research has been addressed to the development of wearable sensors, autonomous sensors for biomedical applications and devices implantable inside the human body.
